What the AEAS test is, in one minute.

AEAS (Australian Education Assessment Services) tests a student's English and general ability for schools in Australia and New Zealand.
There are three versions: Year 4-6, Year 7-9 and Year 10-12. You sit the one for the year you are applying to enter.
It takes about three hours. About two hours is English: Vocabulary, Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. The rest is Maths reasoning and a non-verbal ability test.
There is no pass mark. AEAS reports your level, and each school decides what it needs.
You book through AEAS, or through your school or agent.
